#1 Post by fultontech » Tue Mar 15, 2016 9:38 am

I was able to buy a 360P with working install. Thank you.

----------------------
Specifically ThinkWrite and the Pen drivers.

If you have a working PC-DOS 6.3 / Win 3.11 factory install with all the programs on disk, I'd be willing to pay for a copy of some of your installed files to put on my 360PE.

The Windows pen drivers from the 360P and 750 may work as well.

In response to a comment no longer there;

Thank you, but since the file there is for OS/2 and PenDOS 1.0 it's not what I'm looking for. By the way, the full 'Pen for OS/2 Version 1.03' is still hidden on IBM's ftp site and it has OS/2 drivers for the 710T, 730T, 750P, 360P.

I'm looking for the OEM Windows for Pen service drivers for the Wacom based 750P and 360P/PE. They are only on the factory install unless someone saved a image somewhere. I thought I had back in the late 90's but it looks like not.

I would also like to find IBM's handwriting recognition software 'ThinkWrite' rather than use Microsoft MUD.

Thank you for trying, but I'll only pay for working files. :)

I know I have the Windows 95 Pen Services drivers and I think I have the Win 3.11 set as well. There would be no charge if I can find them.

Thank you. I haven't tried to install Windows for Pen services 2.0 (Win95) since before 2000, but I thought the Win95 drivers were widely available..... In fact looking quickly, I have them as well. Just the pesky original drivers, and factory .ini files (and no, before anyone comments, the 360origl.exe file is for the 360C/Cs, not the P/PE)

The unstated bounty still stands. If you can find them, and they work, it's yours.

Found I have a file which seems to be Windows fore Pen Services for Windows 3.11 for the 730T. Here is the first part of the readme.txt file:

Installation Notes for WFPC 1.0 (Windows 3.1) on TP730T

Enclosed in the zip file is two file:

ibm730t.drv
ibm730t.386

Let me know where you want me to send it. I am still looking as I have a memory of setting up a 360PE with a hard drive with Windows 95 and one with Windows 3.1 with pen services working on both. That was like 10 years ago but I don't throw much away. Will let you know.

Thank you, but The 730T/TE was a GRID digitizing device and the 360P/PE 750P are Wacom.
And I have those drivers (and PenPoint - which won't install on the 360PE BTW)

Really old Wacom. So old, that the oldest Wacom driver for Windows 3.1 won't work with it.

Thank you, but I've been contacted by someone with the factory install. The files you have linked to (that everyone seems to link to) are not for Windows. They are for an early version of PenDOS and OS/2 - only.

Does anyone have the drivers for the TP 360PE, ideally the factory install including dual-boot Win 3.1 and OS/2?

I have recently got my hands on a TP 360PE - the display is in pretty bad shape, but still marginally workable, and the pen seems to work fine!

I'd love to get this running with the very first versions of DOS/Windows/OS/2 with pen support.
