For those not familiar, this is a unique style of machine. It's a slate-style form factor (iPad/ Galaxy Tablet/ etc. although thicker) with onboard flash storage and a MicroSD slot for additional storage. It runs a full version of Windows 8.1, and comes with a detachable keyboard dock which has a USB 3.0 port on it. The main tablet charges from a MicroUSB cable and has a Micro HDMI out port.
System specs:
T100TA-C1-GR
Intel Atom Z3740 Quad-core CPU (1.33 GHz with 1.86 GHz burst speeds)
2 GB RAM
64GB onboard flash storage
Windows 8.1 installed and activated (Supposedly you can install other editions with some driver updates, but I haven't tried)
Things I've noticed while using it:
- In terms of computing power, it's a middle ground between a netbook and a full scale laptop, more on the side of the full scale machine. I ran some more intensive programs on it to get a feel for the differences, and while they did load slower, actual execution once the programs loaded were comparable. However, those intensive programs *really ought to* be run by themselves. If you run a heavier program plus two browser windows and MS Word, you're going to get frustrated if you're switching between programs often.
- The battery life is excellent. Power drain is ~8-12% per hour depending on which programs are being used. The other side of this is that it takes a long time to fully charge from dead or close to dead. This may be because I don't have the original power adapter for it, but I used the highest rated one I own and it still took a while.
- It's perfect if you need a lightweight machine with full programs access, but perhaps not a full power solution

(This is almost identical to mine, just with less onboard storage)
