I'm looking for a replacement screen for a 14" T42.
I've tried replacing the inverter without luck.
If there is something brighter than the original model, that would be great.

Re: Wanted to buy: Screen for T42
I'm not sure if this is required information, but the screen is for a model 2373.
1024x768 resolution.
An upgrade to 1400 x 1050 would be preferred if it is possible.

For SXGA+ you also need a different LCD-cable, but you can use the same inverter as for XGA.

Re: Wanted to buy: Screen for T42
What dimension do you want? I do have 2 T43 displays:
1x 15" LCD XGA + cable (the cable occasionally have contact problems)
LCD is in fair condition with a few pieces of dirt got into it and very few light scratches
The only reason I got rid of that was because I bought another UXGA screen and cable SEPARATELY and put it into my computer.
The UXGA LCD is still on sale (Neither IPS nor stock but it is much cheaper and fully works)

That was what I bought for screen assembly.
1x 14.1" SXGA+ LCD (I changed the CCFL tube but did not assemble the screen properly so it has impression marks and dirt inside)
It does work but it does not look good.
(As RealBlackStuff said, you DO need another cable for different resolution and the screen cable tells you its supported resolution on a sticker)
Also if you have Intel GMA Graphics (Not in your case since yours is T42 but GMA is only found in some T43s) you will have a hard time upgrading your resolution due to the fact that its BIOS locked that capability.
Both of them have no dead Pixels.
Contact me if needed.
