(Ok that sounded better in my head).
Hello;
I have a tale of woe regarding an otherwise flawless R61 15.4". In my absence my daughter and father decided to fix a noisy fan by taking the computer-love of my life to a deranged alcoholic for repairs. Despite the cardboard, duct tape and PC desktop case rail he failed to fix the fan. When I found this mess I ordered a fan which is not sitting here.
Sans 4 screws. It didn't come with any and of course the old ones are in a landfill site someplace, swapped out for his cardboard and duct tape origami substitute for same.
So. I'm hoping for absolute charity here because let's face it this machine is worth like $38 on a good day. But it works and there's nothing (other than a fab) worng with it. And I'm stubborn. And cheap.
What I need is the four tiny little screws that holds the metal plate fan cover to the plastic thinga-ma-bob that holds the actual fan. Also, you know those two bits of stainless steel that hold the whole heatsink down ? I have the big one but the aforementioned dangerous lunatic thought I didn't need the small one so I need one of those too. If you'd be so kind.
I own and operate a pretty big web/unix server so can return the favour.
Thanks in advance, folks. Send me a msg if you can help please.

Re: Need a little screw
There are three kinds of smallest screws that clamps down northbridge plate or both northbridge and GPU heatsink which has 2 extra copper pieces over GPU area for 15.4" R61 in addition to CPU.
Four small silver screw for two stainless steel clamps for said northbridge or GPU/northbirdge plate. Also there is so small screws this is installed under the heatsink copper plate area for CPU in order to hold both CPU plate & black plastic fan housing frame together. Then there are four black screws for the plastic spring loaded studs to clamp onto CPU silicon die.
Tell us which screws?
Cheers, thinkpadcollection

Re: Need a little screw
Could be the screws that hold the fan inside the heatsink?
