WTB: Battery for 700 / 700C, defective.

As I now apparently found my long sought after 700C, I would like to see if I can find a battery for it. I have no intentions of ever trying to run it off of a battery, but I'm looking to fill the open hole that's there when the battery is removed. So even if I find a battery with cells still present, I'll probably gut it and use the plastic case only.

I'm currently in the US, so if someone in the US has one for sale, you can avoid international shipping if you can get it mailed to Idaho before Saturday the 16th of July.

Went looking....WAY back of the closet...one New Old Stock 53G9140 (10.8V, 2.9 AH) Ni-Mh Battery for your 700C. Original IBM Field Accessory Kit.... box, original packing, battery end-cap, etc, with LED Status Indicators. Box is a bit shop-worn, battery still in the plastic bag inside the Styrofoam cut-out.

Pics available if you require them.

Unfortunately I'm in Ontario, Canada, and it would be impossible ( read "impossibly expensive") to get it to Idaho by the weekend. Possibly by slow boat to Norway to cut down on the shipping?

Let me know in case you're absolutely stuck....Hopefully someone on the forum from the U.S. will be able to help you out.
