For sale is my personal X61s that was purchased new from Lenovo. The laptop shows some normal wear and tear, but is not damaged in any way. I carried the laptop while commuting for a short time, and then turned it into a desktop that remained in my office.
The laptop has an Intel Core2Duo L7700 1.8 GHz processor, has Middleton bios installed, and has been upgraded to 8GB RAM and an Intel 160 GB SSD. Lenovo OEM Windows 7 Professional 64-bit is installed on the SSD.
The RAM is 2 sticks of Hynix PC2-6400 800MHz, part number HMP351S6AFR8C-S6, and is an unofficial upgrade (4GB was the official maximum). Windows 7 64-bit sees and accesses 8GB of RAM without any problem.
An X6 slice is included, and it has the keys. Also included with the slice is an HDD tray with a 160GB Travelstar HDD, and a DVD CD-RW multiburner.
The wireless card has been upgraded to an Intel ultimate-n 6300 AGN, Lenovo FRU 60Y3233.
Also installed is a Broadcom BMC 70015 Crystal HD multimedia card.
Both the wireless and the multimedia card sit beneath the right side of the palmrest, and yes, the right side of the palmrest gets warm. That's the way these laptops work and there is nothing that can be done about it. I have tried different cards and configurations, and the warmth is characteristic of this laptop.
