F/S-Transnotes (2) for parts or rehab

I have a pair of Transnotes complete. The pair is in very nice physical condition. Each has a 256 gig SDRAM card and a hard drive. I have the original Windows 2000 .iso and also some files needed to upgrade to XP, which it can run pretty well. Each of these worked while in my possession but has died on my watch I am sorry to admit. Neither POSTS. The status light flashes and nothing happens. Most importantly, there is a single working pen or at least it was working last I used the TNote about 6-8 months ago and worst case, needs a replacement quad-A battery. Each unit also has the highly sought-after pair of backup battery leads. Not depicted I also have the original IBM Transnote notepad with abbreviated instructions that slides inside the writing folder. I had used standard 8 1/2 x 11 legal pads for writing. I kept these on my desk and actually used them to record notes of telephone calls and the performance of the laptop with XP is surprisingly good. I used a pcmcia wireless card with it and it was able to handle the internet OK.
Also includes the docking attachment and 2 AC adapters. Each has a battery and one of them even holds a short charge. Somebody who knows what he/she is doing can rework these and get them working. I sold another one a couple years ago to a member here who promptly fixed it and posted a nice series of pictures showing it working again. Not sure what he did but I believe it involved work on one of the chips or editing the BIOS Code in some way, either of which is beyond my talents. I will ship the hard drives blank but will include a DVD with all my Transnote files and apps including the Win2K .iso.

I would like to get $120 net of shipping cost (i.e. you pay shipping) for these but am willing to negotiate a bit and am always willing to talk trade for classic Thinkpad stuff.
Make me an offer.
PM me with any questions.
