All the classy classics are SOLD
Hello,
#1 New and unused X31 /w 1,5GHz CPU, 256Mb of RAM and 40Gb HDD; PSU, unused battery included. Keyboard is English / hebrew. Asking somewhere around $200? No idea really SOLD
#2 2x Z60t w/titanium lid; ripped of RAM, HDD, CPU, HDD rubber/caddy and keyboard. Great shape, lid with very minor scratches. There is a password on the MB - I guess it's supervisor password. The second one has no password. The case is in great shape though. Asking $25 a piece or $35
#3 Like-new 4:3 15,1" R61i, great base for a mighty frankie. This one has been bought from a Polish bank and seem ~unused. System is absolutely nothing short of perfect. It just misses the box and CD's Asking... hm, $200?
#4 15,1" R61i with dead mobo - again a good frankie base, but this one needs a new mobo I believe. The system restarts 2s after power-on. Great shape, looks like used just a couple of times. No battery / hdd / PSU for that one. Asking $100. SOLD
#5 A31p in great shape; 20Gb HDD, 256 Megs of RAM, UXGA nice&bright, working battery, no signs of MOBO failure, great shape LID and keyboard. Classics $200? SOLD
#6 Nice G41 w/ P4 3,2GHz, Intel Extreme GPU, 1,25 gig of RAM, 60Gb HDD, Floppy, DVD reader, Wifi and so on. Dead batteries, but very nice otherwise. $40 SOLD
I'd also like to trade it back for:
- Hydis LED UXGA.

Re: Thinkpad classy classics for sale!
Which Ultrabay slim battery are you talking about? T4x/R5x vs. T/R6x USE DIFFERENT BATTERIES IN THE SAME ULTRABAY SLIM!! THE BATTERY CONNECTOR LOCATION IS DIFFERENT!! Anyways I have one aftermarket T4x ultrabay battery and it does NOT work well in T43 at all. T43 draws significantly more voltage and current than T42 therefore T43 can only last 15 minutes with random shutdown while T42 can last 45. Expect similar problems with Ultrabay batteries on T6x as well.

Re: Thinkpad classy classics for sale!
Then it is a dream. Genuine ones are close to dead now if not. I have 2 genuine ones which charges for the factory charging time and only lasts 10 minute on T43 as T43 is more intensive to power. Don't expect a genuine T43 ultrabay battery to have a non-red battery health indicator

Well, having in mind I have a nice-shaped genuine A31p bay battery these should be still accessable

Re: Thinkpad classy classics for sale!
If they are ever used it is a no go. I have bought a genuine Ultrabay Slim battery for T4x on eBay that was only used for test for functionality and then the battery life is still ruined. Instead of asking them for refund I asked them to ship another one in a little better shape but still I have the two lying around, even though they are still working, they don't last long and with red health indicator. Instead I bought an aftermarket one from Canada computers as new old stock and it works better

Re: Thinkpad classy classics for sale!
And also keep in mind their lifespan will be much shorter because of the dumb IBM design to use the battery into 0% before switching to the main battery

Re: Thinkpad classy classics for sale!
My T42 works with those batteries just fine maybe because of a low power consumption, but with the same battery pack, my T43 would shut down at 4% left for the ultrabay battery (before the laptop switches from ultrabay to main battery) and my T43p with IPS shuts down at 60% so it's not all that ideal to mewujstefan wrote:Well mine works for 7 months now and runs just fine.
