I have two ZIP-drives and eighteen ZIP-disks that may be of interest to some of you.

1x IBM 250MB ZIP-drive with P/N: 00N7953 / FRU: 00N8254
Fits in the Ultrabay 2000 of machines like T2x / T30
Works with 100MB and 250MB disks.

1x iOmega 100MB ZIP-drive Model: Z100ATAPI (for 40-pin IDE)
Fits in a 3.5" bay of any Desktop.

18x ZIP-disk 100MB, in 3 plastic cases for 6 disks each.
1 disk has all the ZIP-tools V5.4
7 disks have all sorts of DOS/Windows 3.1/Windows 3.11/Windows 95/NT-4 programs, utilities and games on them.
The other 10 are blank.

Furthermore there are 6x 3.5" floppy-disks with various ZIPtools for DOS, Windows and Macintosh.

The lot has been fully tested, all of them work nice.

I'm offering all of the above for $60 shipped (USA only).

I do have a couple of zip disks salvaged from my school just one year ago and do you know if they work in Windows 7? As far as I have tested floppy works in Windows 10 but idk for zip

I tested the Ultrabay drive in a T23 with XP-Pro/SP3.
It auto-installed the driver for it.
The iOmega drive I tested in a desktop with W7-Ultimate.
There too were no drivers required, worked right from the start.

Can I only buy the ultrabay adapter or it has to be sold in a bundle

Only the whole package is for sale.
Shipping to Canada is almost prohibitive (thanks USPS ), it would add another $35 to the price.

More than likely you could buy a USB zip drive for very cheap. they made both bus powered and ac powered models... pretty common

You know the speed of USB 1.1 on models prior to T/X4x/R5x right?
Plus I have one of the two bays on my A30 almost vacant all the time so...

On Zip 100 SCSI drives the transfer rate is around 895,000 kb/s. On the 250mb ones it is around 2.5 mb/s. USB 1.1 is much slower on the 250mb USB models but it doesn't make all that much difference in the 100mb model.

The ones RBS is selling use IDE and are probably as fast as Zip drives get which I don't think will be much different from the SCSI speeds. In both cases the interface is much faster than the drive mechanism.

The first thing I thought of is an A31p with one LS-240 in one Bay and the zip drive in the other Bay. I don't think there is anything more proprietary.(Except the floppy port on the 701c )

My Zip drives and disks (I LOVE 'EM!) work great in Win 7 and everything underneath that. When I tried them on my A31 under Win 7, no issues. For Win 8 and above on my more modern laptops, they tend to just spin and spin and spin, the system not recognizing them. I'm using external Zip drives.

I tried my USB Iomega 100MB Zip Drive on my W520 running Windows 10 Pro and it recognized it right away. It didn't need to install the drivers, but did ask to repair the disk. Then it read the contents and was alright.

I've got about 30 disks and an internal Iomega 100MB Zip Drive in a old tower, in addition to my external drive. I have the original Iomega drivers/tools CD that came with the internal drive, too.
