I see no reason why it won't take a W, if the correct power supply is used. The dock itself is the same AFAIK.
Some of the later W that need a 170W might have a problem, as it won't physically fit without modification.
90W is considered by Lenovo the "minimum safe" PSU to use for these docks - they were not selling them with 65W supplies, but as I just checked, it's not a hard switch-off, it's more like - you want to have enough headroom to power whatever you need to power on the laptop itself + the dock. Then again Lenovo also considers it unsafe to use a 65W with any discrete GPU system, dock or not, whereas in practice it rarely has any issues.
