I am on the lookout for a V5250 motherboard that will fit into a regular T60 4:3 14.1" chassis.
The motherboard needs to be fully functional and in mint condition with pictures on hand.

The description clearly states
15.4" so it's for a widescreen unit and won't fit a standard one.

There are 15" wide-screen and non-widescreen units.
The 15" non-WS boards are supposed to be the same as 14" boards but they have an extender for the ports.
At least that is what I have red up.
Nowhere does it state widescreen in the description.

15.4 is widescreen, confirmed by the photo, the standard screen are 14.1 and 15.0.

Not really:
15.4" = widescreen (16:10)
15.0" = standard (4:3)
Nowhere does it state widescreen in the description.
It doesn't have to. Just read what I wrote above...

fair enough
another reason why I am being so picky.
certain sources address 15" and 15.4" as the same.

Thanks black but I myself have a V5200 board already :/
Hunting for either a V5250 mobo or possibly a late build date FX570.
But then again I have no clue how I would fit a 256MB FX570 256MB version mobo (only found in 15.4" mobo) into my 14.1" T60.
How is the fitment of a T61p 15.4" mobo in a T60? I am doing research myself right now but input appreciated.

You can't fit the 15.4" into your 14" without major hacking of the frame, loss of the ultrabay and modification of the harddrive bay by rotating it 90degrees and moving it to where the ultrabay used to be. The far better option would be to use the 4:3 T61 series board. I have the NOS boards with nvs140m graphics for a very reasonable price, also offer them as a frankenpad kit with all the parts you will need including a T61 frame so no frame mods would be needed on your 14" model. I can get you the fx570m, but it will cost more and won't be in the safe date range because none were made then. I did have a few NOS years ago, and if cost was no object I could probably wrestle one back from one of a couple friends who bought extras, but if it's performance you are concerned about the nvs140m is a far better choice than the v5250 and the lastest divers for any current windows version are still in development, compared to ati who abandoned driver support with vista on their chips.
Also, any of the T60 series boards are going to leave you stuck at 3gb ram max, but if you can live with that then I'd go with the v5200 that RBS offers, I don't believe there is any practical difference between the 5200 and 5250 other than the 5250 was matched with a different cpu class, but with any of the more recent bios updates the v5200 board will run the same cpu chips, so unless there is something you are aware of that I'm am not, I don't think holding out for v5250 will be of any real advantage.

Put the CPU in and boot to BIOS on external monitor, take down the MTM of the system that it came from. FRU numbers when it comes to motherboards from this era are dime-a-dozen...
