This is long overdue. I have a collection of some older systems, parts, and accessories that have been collecting dust. I thought I would try and give them away here before tossing them in the eWaste dumpster. I'll leave this thread up for a month or two, but they have to get gone one way or another.

Items are free if I can meet you somewhere convenient, basically 45-60min drive from Morristown, NJ (NYC-Manhattan, eastern PA, NJ are all possibilities). I will _consider_ shipping at cost (local favoured).

First up, the systems:
I would prefer to sell all without HDD, though I do have 1 or 2 original Hitachi/IBM drives that seem to work when I wiped them. All but 1 (T21, see below) boot, but the bios battery's are probably dead, and the main batts questionable at best (a few may hold _some_ charge, could be 30 seconds, could be 10 minutes). I have a half-dozen or so of the T20/T21 main batt's (no idea of condition) that you can have. (Shipping w/ battery is probably not cost effective.)

The details:
-600
Type 2645-85U, POST's, 64MB RAM, 161+163+192 codes. 192 code stays after setting the date/reboot, I may have removed the CMOS battery for use elsewhere. No HDD.
Pretty rough shape, lots of external scratches and dings, worn on the inside as well.

-600E
Type 2646-8BU, POST's, 163MB RAM, 161+163 codes.
Pretty clean inside, outside has some minor wear, and the coating is peeling in a few spots on the bottom. Current battery holds _some_ charge.

-600X
Type 2646-8EU, POST's, 327MB RAM, 161+163 codes.
Fair on the inside, good amount of wear and scratches on the outside. Curent battery holds _some_ charge.

-T20
Type 2648-84U, POST's, 256MB RAM, DVD, no HDD.
Basically just a mainboard in a shell. The LCD was pulled and the cover broken off, keyboard has a broken Right Alt key. I used it as a headless system or plugged into external monitor/keyboard for a while. Current battery holds _some_ charge.

-T21
Type 2648-4AU, 512MB RAM, no HDD. Unfortunately this machine doesn't seem to want to power on properly; it use to work. I got it to POST once, and once come on with a discolored Thinkpad Logo screen, but now the batt/hdd light just flashes for an instant when the power button is pressed. DVD drive has a handwritten "Bad?".
Good on the inside, minor external wear. Current battery holds _some_ charge.

SODIMM's - I have not tested any of these modules, but they have been in static bags and were working when removed:

1x: IBM FRU 20l0268 (possibly 128MB, but I'm not positive, the P/N is difficult to read)

Hey they are some good stuff here!!
I would recommend you to buy a bunch of cmos batteries because these error codes are complaint about dead cmos battery and these computers won't boot without a working cmos battery. They are very cheap though.

Thanks for the note! I should have been more clear, all except the T21 will boot at least off the CD drive (I tested with a linux boot cd). Yes, a new battery will definitely help having to reset the clock every time power is pulled.

Also some of the RAM sticks can actually sell some money on eBay (for instance at least $10 a pair) since you also have ones with the maximum config of the type (e.g. 256mb DDR100)

Is this stuff still available? I picked up a really clean T21 at a yard sale, and would like to see if I can get it to work. Thanks
