the basics:
ThinkPad X61 Tablet (7762-K3U)
L7700(1.8GHz)..........the fastest CPU available from the factory for this model
2GB RAM..................now 4GB (2x2GB)
100GB 7200rpm HD.....now Crucial C300 128GB SSD
12.1in 1024x768 LCD Touchscreen............now 1400x1050 LCD from X60, pen only, PLEASE READ BELOW
Intel X3100
Intel 802.11abg wireless...........now Atheros AR9380 (abgn, 450Mbps on my dual-band router)
Telus WWAN...............no clue how to check on existence of this one, the antenna "bump" is present on the lid though
Bluetooth
Modem
1Gb Ethernet
Secure chip
FPR
8c Li-Ion.....................now a 4-cell in "green"
Windows Vista Business COA
Stylus included
UltraBase with DVD-RW included (no keys, but unlocked)
Genuine Lenovo 65W AC adapter included
Middleton's modded BIOS installed
known imperfections:
1) One USB port - RH side, closer to the keyboard - is damaged and hence non-functional. The rest of them - both on the tablet itself and on the ultrabase - are fine
2) The current SXGA+ LCD has a mind of its own and many a times will show lines on cold boot. Pressing the lower LH corner resolves this problem on a temporary basis. I am, however, including a complete X60 tablet SXGA+ LCD assembly for you to swap instead of this one, and the replacement panel has no imperfections that I'm aware of.
3) Normal wear and tear for a ThinkPad of this vintage, I'd rate it at 8.5 on a 1-10 scale.
Terms of sale:
a) The only reason that this bundle is going up for sale is the fact that I've got my eyes on a system that is being for sale locally. I reserve the right to cancel this offering at any time should my "target" machine become unavailable.
b) I will NOT split this bundle. Buy everything and part it out yourself if you are so inclined, my asking price gives you a plenty of headroom to do so.
