Hello,

I will have to recycle all remains of my earlier A31P Laptops...

(My wife does wish to use our office as an office and not as a place to keep spare parts...) I'ld like to keep one functional as a kind of historic example, nevertheless. I happend to loose my last two functional ones as age seems to deterioriate the systems abilities.

That's why I should like to find one of the last ATI64MB-Boards for the A31P to refurbish my best looking and working one...

Any help any advice would be appreciated...

Sorry I have sold my A31p system.
Now I only have a broken A30 board and a broken A31p board.
But I know where to find A30p boards:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-IBM-Len ... 65f&_uhb=1
It listed as A30 boards but the PN listed is an A30p one and I tried to buy 2, one of them came out to be A30p.
I personally prefer A30p boards more than A31p boards. Here are some things to compare:
1. A30p runs MUCH cooler than A31p
2. In exchange of the GPU problem prone in A30p, you get higher chance of Northbridge/Southbridge problem in A31p due to Netburst's overheating
3. In exchange of the much faster GPU in A31p, the standard PIIIM 1.2 in A30p is up to 25% faster than the standard 1.8 P4M (In terms of 720p video playback, A31p I had (1.8ghz) even lost against A30p (1.2ghz) due to the huge difference in Multimedia Instructions (In Performancetest7, P4-M1.8 gets around 0.20 while PIII-M1.2 gets around 1.16))
Downside for A30p are 1GB RAM limitation and some modern app compatibility issues due to the lack of SSE2
