This is a nice upgrade for anyone with a T420. It's a standard motherboard whose bios has been replace with 'Coreboot', an open source bios. With this motherboard you can upgrade your T420's cpu from Sandy Bridge to Ivy Bridge. The benefit is 25% better graphics performance and better processing performance. Also, you can run 35W TDP quad core processors, i7-3612QM or i7-3632QM), or other quad-core 2nd or 3rd generation mobile processors.

The board has been tested with a quad core i7-3610QM, a dual core i5-3210M and a standard i5-2520M.

Other perks this motherboard offers:
- unlocked ram speeds (1866 MHz possible)
- unlocked wifi hardware (can use any wifi card)
- uses Seabios, so it should be able to run windows. I haven't tested it with windows.

Included is the original bios rom, fan and heatsink (FRU 04W0627), cmos battery and the original Intel 6205 wifi card.
