ON HOLD: The ultimate Frankenpad - T601fL

#1 Post by wujstefan » Mon Aug 14, 2017 1:24 pm

Hello,

Here's up for sale my very own Frankie that I have built (with great help of the forum members here and on the German side) for myself. Now since I need to fight some health issues and have to collect funds for that I will be offering the best frankenpad one may desire. I was planning to buy a T70 board and swap it with this one, but life is life.

The system is in _PERFECT_ shape, with little to no wear, including little to no lid wear. IBM logos, old good stickers.

Now for the specs:
1. Base & chassis - the reinforced *3630 chassis that has no cracks anywhere.
2. Keyboard - NMB with near to none wear. It has been bought as a spare somewhere around 2009-2010 for my Z60t, has never been used, and now it sits in my T601f for two months only.
3. Motherboard - Intel-based with native Penryn support, FSB-modded so it can load 1066MHz CPUs now. Since it is FSB-modded, GPU is also a small bit overclocked. The mod has not been done by me, and I will definietely share some amount of money earned with the person that did that for me - as he did that just out of a good will.
4. CPU - P9600@2,66GHz - not the fastest one, but the coolest one. With fan at 0 this thing sits at 44C with 25C ambient (light tasking). With prime95 at full stress 68C is the highest temp reached, and with fan on 7.
5. 8Gb of matched, SPD-modded RAM.
6. Like-NEW LED UXGA from Hydis, the screen praised here on the forum by everyone that have ever touched it. Bought new, used for ~2months, under 100hrs working time.
7. 9-cell genuine battery in green; as far as I remember it has the best possible cells (Panasonic), with around 10-15% wear.
8. WWAN
9. 300Mbps Intel wifi card.
10. DVD-Burner
11. Genuine 90W AC adapter
12. HDD/SSD not included - if you need one, please ask.

I think $950 $900 would be just good to ask. I will listen to reasonable offers.

Options:
1. Ultrabay batteries - like new - SONY - 2 available - $25 a piece
2. 2504 dock - $5
3. 2503 dock - $65
4. 750Gb HDD / 240Gb SSD - $100
5. Ultrabay SATA-HDD adapter - I think it's generic - $8
6. Ultrabay PATA-HDD adapter - I think this one is genuine - $10
7. Genuine IBM Targus in great shape (from the A2x era) - $45
8. Lots of spares for that unit. Ask for whatever you may need.

I will drop in some pics later.
