X220 motherboard skins, X220 retro-look top lid skins

X220 Mobo skin set

I totally damaged the skin while repairing one of my X220 boards, so I decided to recreate it.
This is a full set of all parts of the skin made from high quality glossy vinyl in black.

I have also made this skin that resembles the Lnn series (R60, T60 era) material, before the rubberish ones came out.
The skin is much thicker than usual vinyl skins (140um vs. 70um), thus very protective against scratches. It is easy to apply, clean, and remove without residue. It will cover up any blemishes your lid may have.

Here's a comparison of the skin on the usual X220 lid material:

Happy to answer any questions.

I would say it actually resembles the texture from the Thinkpad 755C, which was not rubberized and that that kind of grippy texture. A real retro cover!
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

I wonder if its texture is like the 560/E/X/Z, which had a plastic chassis.

Those has the same lid texture as the 755, so yes. Look at my previous post.
