I am looking for a machine for use by our local food bank for taking inventory but also running food safety videos, and doing spreadsheet work. I thought a T520 in a docking station with an external monitor would fit the bill.

Prefer 1600 X 900, FHD wonderful but not necessary. Windows 10. SSD preferred. 8GB minimum. Good battery would be nice.

Let me know what you all might have available.

Thanks,

Bruce

If you are using a dock and external monitor any reason it could not be a T430?

I think a T420 or T430 could work too. My original rational was that for me with the 16:9 machines I need 1600X900 pixels to see much of a spreadsheet. With a 14" machine the display get's a bit small versus 15" display. However maybe doing inventory with an open spreadsheet to a few columns works fine with a lighter 14" machine.

I am guessing a nice T420 with 1600 X 900 LG display would work fine. They seem to be quite durable machines.

Anyone have something like that?

Thanks,

Bruce
