PS: This is quad core i7-2960XM at 55W and if your machine is equipped with 45W processor heatsink, you'll need to change out the heatsink also to handle this 55W processor.

T520 does not have any 55W heatsink, just 45W can be handled. If W520, yes need 55W heatsink FRU: 04W1574.
T530 does have 3 pipe heatsink but not compatible with T530, W530 does have own different 55W heatsink.
