WTB: x301 parts (palmrest)

Hey all,

I got an x301 today. This is a neat computer!

My thinkpad stash now - x220 2.8/x61 2.4/x301 1.6

I need a new lid, screen bezel, screen, palmrest, and hdd.

I can probably find a new screen and hdd but I'm up for any offers really. Lemme know what you have! Thanks so much!

EDIT: I've gotten all the pieces but still need a good palmrest with speaker grills... or speakers grills and a separate palmrest. Either way!

Hi,

regarding the speaker grille: I could not find replacement grilles for the X301. Instead, I used speaker grille stickers for the T410 (easily available on e.g. ebay) and cut them to size. The actual window for the speaker in the T410 stickers is bigger than what is required for the X301; the width of the T410 stickers matched the X301 stickers just fine. After cutting the stickers to size (corners need to be ever so slightly rounded), I used thin double-sided tape to cover the areas of the T410 stickers lacking adhesive. Works fine so far ...
