Looking for an UltraBay adapter to use in a T43 that will enable me to install a 2.5" SATA SSD.

Search one on eBay. Those things can typically come with normal SATA ports, so you can use a 2.5" regular SATA SSD. Those things may be designed with straight front panel to fit in T60, so you will have that weird bottom sticking out if you use that on a T4x.
Bought one of those but I need it for my T43 motherboard with a broken IDE HDD connector or even bridge.

You'll need to search for SATA UltraBay's intended for T/R/X/Z6x/p ThinkPad's; see e.g. this post where you will find the relevant Part Numbers (P/N) and /or Field Replacable Unit (FRU) numbers, being 26R9246 and 26R9247 and 40Y8725. Try search on eBay for e.g. "T60 ultrabay" and you'll find these from USD 10,- and upwards

I've been using various such ("T60") SATA UltraBay's in my T42's/T42p's for years; no problems at all with 2.5" SATA HDD's.

I have a genuine Lenovo SATA-adapter with FRU: 45J7902, P/N 45J7901, which will work in both T4x and T6x.
It does have a straight bezel though, as well as the wide "tab" (which can be cut off for use in a T4x).
In as-new condition, $20 incl. shipping in USA.
Payment via PayPal, using option "send money to friends or family".

SOLD to a forum member.

They do connect with IDE.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.
