If it aint a good screen, upgrade it to TFT. Then you can have the only TFT PC110

Oh don't worry, that has definitely occurred to me. There is surely a way to make some sort of newer panel understand what the PC110 is outputting. Video signals are not complete witchcraft.

As it happens I've gone completely off the deep end and purchased three PC110s, all in various states of unknown working order/described as junk. It is my hope that between the three of them, I can build one fully operational example. But this is an overly optimistic way to think so I may just end up with some expensive paperweights.

In related news, I'm banning myself from using Japanese buying services.

By an incredible stroke of luck, one of my three new PC 110s is 100% functional, including the elusive screen. It was sold as untested junk so I had concerns, though the photos suggested the screen had not degraded as they typically do.

I am accordingly joining the ranks of the many who need PC 110 screens, to fix the others.

We can therefore consider this topic resolved.
