ThinkPad Dock (Type 2631)

#1 Post by rexr » Sat Jun 25, 2005 5:25 pm

I have two ThinkPad Docks (Type 2631), both are out of warranty but look and work like new. Both come with one key that locks a ThinkPad into the Dock.

For detailed information about the Docks, please see:

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... IGR-4URSWX

Features include:

Pass-through connection to all ThinkPad system ports
RJ-11 and RJ-45 mini-PCI card architecture support from ThinkPad notebook
Integrated power supply
Ultrabay 2000 device support
Industry Standard half-size PCI slot
Two Type I, two Type II or one Type III PC CardBus slots
Plug and Play (dynamic reconfiguration and hot/warm docking)
NOTE: There is no IEEE 1394 port on the ThinkPad Dock. Devices with this connection must be connected directly to the ThinkPad system where available.

The Docks are compatible with:

ThinkPad A Series 2628, 2629, 2633, 2652, 2653, 2654 All (but not A21e or A22e models)

ThinkPad T Series 2647, 2648, 2366, 2367

ThinkPad X Series 2660, 2661, 2662, 2672, 2673, 2884, 2885, 2890, 2891

The Docks come with a power cord, so you do not need a separate AC adapter.

If you are interested in one or both of these, please make me an offer. They will be shipped from the Dallas, Texas area.

Thanks.

I've dealt with Rex before several times and he is a very trustworthy person as a buyer or seller. You can be sure that his items are as he says they are, and if there are any problems he will go beyond what you would expect of a seller to make things right! He's good people.

The PS2 port worked fine with an X31.

If you can provide me with an address, I can get a shipping quote so that we can see whether this would be feasible.

I'd be interested in one. I have a new T42P coming, would this work? I'm assuming it would. Let me know what price you are looking for. I haven't noticed you taking up any of the current offers.

The docking port configuration is different on the T4*s. This dock will not work with them.
