FOUND: replacement screen for W700

#1 Post by wujstefan » Sun Aug 12, 2018 12:46 am

Just as in topic, my display is in dramatic shape. Most happily I;d buy a whole LCD assembly, but just the screen is fine.

Is there any way to transplant a screen from DELL or HP workstations?

If you're talking about DC2, the answer is "no", at least without *extremely serious* finagling.

Wishing you the best of luck in your noble quest.

Obviously not. I was thinking about even the simpliest WXGA+, as close to drop-in replacement as possible :) I guess any 8740w screen would a problem since they are all LED. Or not?
8730w non-DC panels are super-cheap tho.

Found one. Gosh, why do those panels cost so much since the quality is nothing special?
