That 760E looks beautiful. I think I need to make more space in my small place before getting such a large computer, but I'm still salty over the one that suddenly died on me this February.

I hope it finds a good home.

What is that greenish bar above the F keys on the 760E? Looks like some sort of LCD.

It is. The 760 and 770 used LCDs as indicators. Many laptop from the early-mid 90s used this as a cheap and easy way as status indicators. IBM used this technique as far back as the L40SX laptop from 1991.
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Looks cool. Apple's touchbar isn't that new then (760, X1C2)

That isn't a touchbar, it's just a status indicator made from an LCD and it isn't even the first. The X1C2 was though.

The 760E sold but the 365X is still for sale and I lowered the price and always willing to discuss with Forum members.
