Thanks for the encouragement, Phil. It's appreciated. Maybe I've grown callous and weary over the last couple years, having responded to many hundreds of requests?
Keep up the good work. I know it can be frustrating when you feel abused. I've sent you recovery images in the past because I know you are good enough to help others.

I really hope people don't try to repackage images and sell them on eBay.

PM sent seeking to source a T530 Windows 7 Pro x64 recovery media
With recent retirement, I have added Thinkpads to my latest list of addictive hobbies to hopefully resurrect 3 laptops including a T530, that have been collecting dust since I stopped using each at various points in the past 15 years. With novice computer knowledge and skills this website in the past year has been a gold mine of knowledge acquisition.
Kudos to this forum for helping to extend lives of Thinkpads that would otherwise find the scrap heap!

After almost three years of coordinating with Bill, I received in today's mail his entire cache of recovery media. I just finished looking over everything and giving the collection a brief organizational arrangement.

Over the next several days I will be ripping everything I don't already have images of and adding them to the inventory of available restore sets. There are a few goodies in there. I'll post an update after I catalog everything he sent, for the curious. :)

Impressive haul!
Methinks you may have a few typos in the number of CDs
Most obvious ones:
Original IBM Recovery media:
X40 XP (7CD)
X41T XP (9CD)
X60/X60s XP (8CD)
R51/T42/T42p XP (8CD)
R51/T42/T42p XP (8CD)
R51/T42/T42p XP (8CD)
R51/T42/T42p XP (8CD)
Shouldn't they be Floppies instead of CD?
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)

Hmm, I did get a few floppies but they all look seem to be boot discs for the earliest recoveries - 755 etc. Lots and lots of CDs - nearly 20 lb worth!

I got a few sets in multiples - of those some are "create recovery media" sets, some are early releases, some have supplemental/dedicated boot discs etc. It's quite a variety.

I made a list of the sets I haven't ripped yet (about 30) so it's time to get to work!

Sorry about the delay; I tend to respond to the PMs for recovery requests once or twice a week. I'll likely get the pending requests I have handled tomorrow.
