PM me for dropbox links to pictures.

Re: Bill Morrow collection
Could you tell us what's the screen on the 770Z? Is it 14.1" 1024x768 or 13.7" 1280x1024?

Re: Bill Morrow collection
Ugh. I was interested in the no power 755CDV, until I saw the price. Technically, I already have one. Combined the LCD from a non-working CV with parts from 2 CD's. I also have the non-existant 755CDX (800x600 on a 755CD).
Given it's a no-power machine, is the price negotiable in the future?
**EDIT** I'm also looking for some 701 battery packs (so I can use my 701 again). I don't care what condition they're in, as I rebuild them.

Re: Bill Morrow collection
Please forgive me inappropriate questions, but can't help myself not to ask it; why is Bill Morrow's collection for sale? I tried searching the forum for some sort of news or info but failed.

Re: Bill Morrow collection
Long story. But if I get your drift he is still very much with us. I had to be in Atlanta last summer and went to his house and he gave me (for the purpose of selling) the units you see listed in the post. It is not his entire collection but appeared to be a good chunk of it.

Re: Bill Morrow collection
Yep, you caught my drift quite well. No need to hear the deep details, but it's good to know he's safe & sound.

Re: Bill Morrow collection
PM sent. For everyone else here is a dropbox link:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qr3y9g8he108 ... Gbb7a?dl=0
HDD cover missing (anyone have one to sell for a reasonable price). Keys are a bit worn but otherwise in good shape. The dock works-both CD and floppy drive.
Let me know if there are questions. Asking price posted above is very flexible particularly if I can ship without an AC adapter...running low.

Re: Bill Morrow collection
HELLO and Seasons Greetings to all y'all..
i am 82.6 years along the trail.. having seen a LOT in those years i feel it is time to lighten up the inventory..
re. thinkpads, no one comes here to look at the antiques so better thewy go to those who will appreciate them.. thats all there is to that..
re. other stuff, well i have accumulated a LOT and a LOT of it survived my foray into the boating life (10 years living aboard) so i feel it wpould be better to sell it all off to those who will appreciate it OR not take advantage at an estate sale.. (i've seen a few of those and it is NOT pretty..

Just in case you log in on a slow day and check in - thank you so much for this forum! It's helped me through nearly 2 decades of ThinkPad issues, mods, questions, and I've learned a lot. What a great community and great place for those of us who appreciate truly great functional design.BillMorrow wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2019 4:44 amHELLO and Seasons Greetings to all y'all..

Re: Bill Morrow collection
In the "It's a small world dept", Bill has either recently obtained or has recently decided to make use of his previously purchased 1970 Cadillac El Dorado coupe (no El Dorado convertibles from 1967-70). I noticed his name on the Cadillac & LaSalle club forum where I'm a lifetime member. I hope to be able to help Bill out with his Cadillac out as much as this forum has helped me with my ThinkPads.
I'm sure that's not possible but I'll help as much as i can over there.
Nice to hear from you Bill.
