Awesome little laptop with the highest specs. The screen mod and LED mod were both done by Monty.
Regarding the screen, I purchased a complete, NOS X60T on ebay with SXGA+ resolution. So, it is a brand new screen. There is the smallest "fleck" on the lower left of the screen - that's the way it came with the NOS laptop. Monty said it is not a dead or stuck pixel, and that it won't expand or spread. It is hardly noticeable, but I wanted to mention it.
The screen is incredibly bright, the brightest I've seen.
The laptop is in amazing condition. There are a few small marks on the top, but the rest it as good as it gets on a laptop of this vintage. And like I said, the screen was NOS taken from a brand new X60T.
Since this is running a T9300, Monty also installed the best fan, with new paste, etc. It gets a little warm, which is to be expected on this laptop with a T9300, but nothing bad.
I put an Intel 7260 wireless card in it as well. Currently running Windows 7, but it will ship without a hard drive. Don't remember how much RAM, as it is currently at my office, but I'm going to guess 3 Gb.
It is my favorite little laptop, but I do almost everything on my T601, so it's up for sale. I really haven't used it much at all.
I can take pictures when I get back to the office on Tuesday, but they are just going to show an X61 in amazing condition.
With shipping, I paid over $200 for the NOS X60T alone. There are not many comparable machines for pricing, and since these are quite rare with these specs (and next to impossible to mod the screen correctly), let's say $500 shipped for this one-of-a-kind little 4:3 wonder.
