LF: 01LV506 (T25 Touchpad)

I had my order in with Encompass for the rest of the parts I need to do the T480-T25 keyboard conversion and they told me 01LV506 (the T25 touchpad) is no longer available! Anyone have one they can sell me?

Is it different from the X1C touchpad?

I am not sure - it has a unique part number, at least...

They appear to be exactly the same size, and texture is very similar too. Not that texture matters for compatibility. What matters is whether the connector/cable are the same. I am obviously somewhat reluctant to open up my machines to test it, considering how precious the TP25 is and the fact that the X1C is not even mine.

Well, if I can't get my hands on the right part I'd be willing to try - as long as it fits physically, I can mount it one way or another. I never use the touchpad anyway, so if it's not functional... I won't ever notice. Which generation X1, 5th?

Edit: I saw your MT in your sig so I started looking things up. Based on the photos of the two parts on Lenovo's parts website, they look identical when choosing the black, without NFC part (01AY021). It's a little more expensive, but at least it's in stock!

Mine is X1C 5th gen as you saw. 5th and 6th (probably 7th as well) should be the same regarding dimensions, so hopefully all parts are compatible. Let us know if it works for you, as this will be useful information for other modders.

Were you ever able to confirm if the X1 trackpad works?

Encompass didnt include a trackpad in my order (despite them letting me order it) and then never notified me that it was unavailable. I was able to get a refund from them, but cant find another source for these things.

I did receive it and from the top, it looks identical. Same footprint. Based on the photos of the back of both parts they're also identical.

The remaining parts I need to convert my T480 are on backorder until mid-late May so unfortunately it will be a bit before I can confirm... but for now I think it's still likely.
