You and me both! Either insanely priced or beat to all crap. Wonder how many were sold.

I can't afford this one, nor do I really prefer the Dual screen setup, so this ones all yours:

Listing has ended.

It would really be cool to own one of that particular MTM, but I couldn't see paying that much for even that much of a rarity because of it's age.

I tend to think there really aren't a lot of these machines out there and the one's that are - are being used to their fullest due to their high cost! Maybe I can pick up a retiree one day :D

Just placed my order off ebay its a bit of work but for 235$ to my door i said why not. I got the W701 without 2nd screen. But is there an off-brand Ac adapter for these, for cheap? 230W/ AC input voltage: 100 V to 240 V; 50/60 Hz i don't care if its a Chinese Knock-off, ivm looking for the most cost-effective.

Unfortunately not. I've looked, there's no such thing.

I notice you upgraded to a 940xm, is that the fastest CPU we can install on a W701 motherboard? And all the info i've come across says, the most RAM you can install is MAX 16GBs, however I notice your stats say, that your running 32Gbs, how is this possible?

Yes, 940XM is the fastest CPU.

32GB works great, it's just that there were no 8GB DIMMS when the W701 was produced. 4x8GB works perfectly.
