Hi folks!
New member, so please forgive me if I break any etiquette rules.
I'm looking for a 9cell battery for my t601 frankenpad. Obviously, the ideal would be the genuine article with 80% or more juice to it, but I'd also be more than happy with a GreenCell or any halfway decent option. If anyone would like to sell me one or has any good leads, I'm all ears!
I'd also really like to find 2 4gb ddr2 ram sticks. I've tried ebay, only finding suspicious chinese ones, everything on superbuy is definitely counterfeit, nothing on craigslist (lol). Newegg has some that seem less suspicious? But as with the battery, any leads or offers here would be preferable.
Let me know and thanks!

If I am correct, the T601 Frankenpad uses batts from the T60, T61 and T/W500. They should be ease to find. I have a few extra myself. There is a difference in the batts between the 14" WS and the 14" STD & 15" WS I need to know your MTM from the bottom. of the system. And also please describe what the T601 is. I know it is a hybrid of T60 and T61, but what is the core unit?
4GB DDR2 RAM modules are just not around here in the states. You have to get them from overseas (china / HK). That's where I got mine recently, there's no other source. Ebay, look for kingston hynix, etc. I used ebay and paid via paypal with a CREDIT CARD.

Unfortunately as I have just recently found out it is right now an extremely bad time to buy these 4GB DDR2 sticks. They are selling out everywhere. I am extremely lucky I was able to aquire some directly from Taobao at a reasonable price and that I know someone that is coming to me from Beijing in 2 weeks. I am able to get a pair (not identical) of 4GB DDR2 PC2-6400S sticks for just ¥200 each (US$28)! Even on Taobao I bought the last of the sticks at that price from a reputable seller and you won't see this kind of deal anymore. I was planning to buy more to help this forum out but seems like I am not able to do that as well with the remaining stocks on Taobao selling for about ¥250 each (US$35)
Also none of the sticks I got have unlocked SPD but they are going inside a Latitude E6500 so I don't care about that.

^^ You got a real good deal on those.
What is unlocked SPD and what does it have to do with RAM modules??

We are hijacking poor pigroast's thread.
Good luck on the memory, mine are not currently for sale. A batt is, if I have what fits your system.

The shell is the T60, with a T61 motherboard. The MTM is 2007WUA. It's the 15" 4:3. I'd be interested if you have any extras!

Okay good news for you two: I found some options for 4GB DDR2 sticks for even cheaper than what I got them for.
However the big disclaimer in the room is that these are from Xianyu, which is the 2nd hand market of Taobao, so the sellers are mostly all individuals instead of bigger full stores. The thing is they all say the credibility is excellent, but I am not sure how credible is the credibility up there.
So here I found 3 options (All in CNY):
For 180, you can get one (just one in stock) stick of Viking brand (small brand but uses Hynix chips) PC2-5300S 4GB stick. This one can be more sketchy than the other options here.
https://market.m.taobao.com/app/idleFis ... rceFlush=1
For 190, you can get one (three in stock) stick of Qimonda PC2-6400S 4GB stick.
https://market.m.taobao.com/app/idleFis ... rceFlush=1
For 195 (free postage), you can get one (two in stock) micron/Crucial PC2-6400S 4GB stick.
https://market.m.taobao.com/app/idleFis ... rceFlush=1
Postage to me and postage to you are not included if not free. (I estimate the postage from my place to New York is about C$12)
The crucial one is obviously the way to go if I were you but from what I have heard on this forum is that the SPD lock on the crucial sticks means they don't play well if you are planning to stick in a 1066Mhz FSB CPU like a Core 2 Quad and run it at 1066Mhz FSB on a T61, going all the way out in terms of frankenpadding.
Not sure how many of these I can buy because I don't wanna get screwed by the customs.
DM me if interested.
The Xianyu platform is completely designed with mobile apps in mind and you cannot purchase or even search anything without the app. That's why it can be a little awkward if you try to see those links on a computer
Also if you are interested in X9000, the cheapest I found is 257 and the seller rating is acceptable but not top top quality. These things are heavily bought up and I really don't know if the end product is actually gonna work properly
