WTB T40 memory - Kingston memory reviews?

Ladies and gents,
In the Sunday circulars, I noticed that Circuit City (at least here in Boston) is selling 512mb Kingston memory at $60 (after $25 rebate).

Options include 2100/2700/3200.

Anyone have stories on how it compares to Crucial, PNY or any other makers?

Of course, I'd be willing to consider swaps/trades/strange offers for the existing 256k out of my Thinkpad. I can offer various leftover parts and pieces including:
-four port desktop card for USB 2.0
-Orinoco 802.11 antennas
-Logitech Bluetooth phone headset and charger

Thanks
David

The RAM that Circuit City is selling is the ValueRAM line. According to verktyg in his posts here, it is a mixed bag:

It is only a few dollars more at Crucial (~$69) and you don't have to deal with the rebate.

By the way, which Thinkpad do you have? I thought all the T4x series have two memory slots available, one slot on the bottom of the machine and one slot under the keyboard.

Memories . . .

Thanks for the tip. I'd read that thread (I laughed, I cried, it was better than 'Cats'). And I should have guessed that the value stuff was being sold at retail . . . .
