WTB: Any 760 bottom half

#1 Post by AlphaKilo470 » Sat Jul 30, 2005 9:36 pm

Well, I broke my 760E (again... I really do wish these things were more durable, my 380's taken 2 or 3 times the payload without a scratch) and I'm looking to see if anyone has either a 760 bottom half or a whole unit (doesn't have to be working, just has to be in decent cosmetic shape) that they can part with. Either that or someone who would be willing to trade or buy all the 760 parts I have lying around here.

If anyone does have a bottom half of a 760 or a whole unit, that'd be awesome though if anyone has an ED or XD or any 760 that has the model number 9546 followed by the three digit code that starts in u9, that'd be prefered.

Awesome. I'll take just about anything if it's a bottom half in somewhat decent shape but even so, could you tell me what model 760 it'd be if you are able to sell or trade the part?

OK, the friend who had them brought them back. Both 760ED, one 9546-U9A, the other 9546-U3A. I haven't fired them up but as far as I know they work. Both probably need new keyboards as the keyboards on these die quick. If I can't wipe the HDD it will come *without* a HDD. Otherwise it is complete with external floppy, internal CD drive, PC-Card modem, and AC adapter (and maybe blank HDD). No charge, just shipping for either one.

Just noticed - the U9A is a unit I bought used online several eons ago, and arrived badly cracked. I repaired those cracks with fiberglass and the patches seem to have held up pretty well, but if you want a case that's in something closer to pristine shape you should get the other one.

924guy, check your PM.

Deb, how much would shipping be on the U3A part?
