WTB: Wordperfect Office for Linux

#1 Post by dsvochak » Fri Aug 05, 2005 4:00 pm

If anyone has for sale, or can point me to a source for WP Office for Linux, I'd be much obliged.

You can send info to dsvochak@acd.net.

Thanks.

Is Word Perfect ABSOLUTELY necessary? If not how about Open Office?

Nothing's absolutely necessary, it's just that I've got too many files going back to the computer stone age that are in WP or Quattro Pro format and batch conversions are too big of a hassle.

Open Office is great for a lot of things, but I'm willing to pay some $ to get a direct read of the WP & Quattro files.

Okay, makes good sense.

I am not sure of WP, however I have had no problems converting MSWord with Open Office.

I think your best bet is Ebay or the like. I cannot find anything still carrying such software. Perhaps a local law firm may have an old copy around, seems lawyers preffered the formatting abilities of WP. Perhaps a local LUG or the like...

Good luck
