I want a rescue disk set for my TP600 2645-51U.
Does anyone have one?
I've seen some on ebay but they were for the 600E.
Can I use one from a 600E or a 600X or does it have to be the right one?

Turns out that is a windows 95 install.
Does anyone have a rescue disc for windows 98?
Can I use rescue discs intended for other thinkpads, 600E, 600X, 570, etc?

You can use either a W98 600E CD or a W2K 600X CD.
Either will work just fine.

If you're going to go W2K route, then you could use a regular W2K CD...boot with it and make the 4 bootable discs and then go through the regular setup. Once you are in Windows, go to the URLs that Bill mentions for drivers and download and install all of them for your thinkpad. After that do all of the Windows updates except any that show up for drivers...you'll be all set and everything will work just fine.
Good luck!

Yeah, you did.
But it is not really
that big of an issue since lilo boot me onto linux by default, and that is where I spend most of my time.
Thanks for the discs anyway flatdraft.
