This is a new Thinkpad T43 (2668-D5U) that is still in the original factory packaging, and with the unbroken IBM seal. The specs are mostly much maxed out (except when compared to a T43p): 2.0 gHz Pentium M 760, 512mb of DDR2 PC4200 RAM, an 80gb hard drive, 64mb Radeon x300, DVD-burner (+ and - and DL), Bluetooth, a/b/g wifi, AND the integrated fingerprint reader. Plus, it has a three-year warranty!! Expires August 2008. Check here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... 97&iws=off
See my craigslist ad for pictures (my apologies if if this isn't allowed): http://www.craigslist.org/eby/sys/101164146.html
Web price for just the laptop is $2399, which is not including tax, so you already save around $200 there. The bonus is that I also ordered a Ultrabay Slim Lithium battery with it that costs $119, that I'm including. Then I also paid for the upgrade to get Microsoft Office Basic (installed already by IBM/Lenovo, and the CD is included also) which costs another $123. Buying straight from the IBM website, all this, including tax, would cost $2,954.21.
I bought this with a slight credit card discount for a friend who is going travelling, but he went for something else and let me know too late for a return to Lenovo. I tried for a local transaction on Craigslist (free online classified ads), but two people flaked out. Currently someone is getting funds together to make up for an trade for a Powerbook, but if that doesn't pan out, I want to see what other offers I can get.
My price is $2400. I'm still open to trades as specified on my Craigslist ad. I trust everyone here more than a stranger off craigslist, but I still want to be careful just in case, so if cash is inconvenient, I'll take payment by cashier's check only if we meet at your bank when you have it drawn up.
