TO ALL THINKPAD FANS. WHO WANT TO OWN A TP POWER SERIES 850?

#1 Post by ludu35 » Fri Oct 07, 2005 10:16 pm

Hello all TP's Fans
I came across a completed working and very nice condition IBM ThinkPad Power Series 850. The big, thick which using PowerPC chip and has everything such as IBM PCMCIA Ethernet card, 2 big built-in speakers, built-in CD-ROM, Floppy drive, giant AC Adapter etc.
The laptop is booting up with IBM AIX into logon screen, but i got no password to get into.
If anyone interesting in owning this rare piece of hardware, please email me your best offer, I am going to take some picture and post them up in next few days.

Thanks
LD

Hello All:

I've got a Power Series (850 I think) boxed with all of the original accessories (3 button mouse, microphone, external floppy etc - most still wrapped in plastic), documentation and software (AIX 4.1.2 I think plus a version of Softwindows for AIX - Running Win 3.1 and a whole bunch of multimedia software for video conferencing etc.). Let me know if anyone is interested and I can post some pics.

Oky everyone, here is a web gallery I whipped up with pics of the 850. I included pics of all of the stuff that comes with the unit as well. Also, since it seems that anyone who happens to have one of these units cannot find the password or an appropriate copy of AIX to re-load the unit, I have included pics of the 850 in operation.

Enjoy!
