Hi,
Looking to sell an IBM t43p system, UC3F8UK. Would appreciate those interested to be from the UK only, due to the prohibitive expense, I dont want to ship / sell outside the UK.

Brief summary:
2 gig centrino, 1 gig ram, 128mb v3200, 60 gig 7200rpm hard disk, 15" 1600x1200 screen, fingerprint scanner, you know the rest. Points of note are: British keyboard layout (genuine UK system), british 3 pin ac adapter, and I will throw in my ultrabay slim battery too ( replaces the dvd burner). Brand new condition, about four weeks old - still have the remainder of the three year worldwide warranty available.

Reason for sale:
This was a free upgrade by ibm because I had many problems with my old t41p. This is a great system, but I dont like the larger 15" footprint - its too big to be comfortable carting around campus for me. If anyone has a half decent sony vaio s5 series I would consider a swap

I have a T41p and I'm having many problems too...

How did you make IBM/Lenovo to get you a free upgrade like this?

it wasnt easy, just had to keep on at ibm's client satisfaction team (the people you talk to after you have had extraordinary problems) until they let in. It was a struggle for about two months

Told them that I was unhappy with buying a notebook worth 1000's dollars only to have it working for a short period of time, and that a replacement a year later wasn't any good, given all the grief I had. I paid to have a working notebook in the beginning, not in a years time!

btw, system still for sale, dropped price to £1300 if there are any offers near this I may take it..

it would help if you were to relate the UK model to a US model..
also, list the specs or link to the lenovo web page..

For linking to the pics, try copying and pasting the entire line, including the "(Small).JPG" (not including the quotes). Or add the "(Small).JPG" to the end of the lines ones you have clicked on the links.
