Looking for Transnote Motherboard 08K3188

#1 Post by kckc » Tue Dec 20, 2005 3:56 pm

Hi, does anyone have a spare Transnote system board lying around?

It is IBM Part Number 08K3188 .

My bios is corrupted, and it looks like replacing the motherboard is the only practical solution.

Thanks.

I snagged one on eBay recently from a company called Hammerhead Technologies - it's a spare in case mine doesn't survive certain experiments. They seem to be parting out a few TNs, so I'd give them a shot. They were negotiable on their Buy It Now price, which makes sense given the limited demand for these.

I'd like to add that I have used Hammerhead Technologies before, and they are reasonably priced and very reliable. Their ID is hammerheadtech, and they are at 100% positive feedback with over 11,000 feedback.

I dealt with Hammerhead (via Ebay) before, they were pretty good. From time to time they seem to have fairly large lots of TP parts. A couple years ago I brought a couple of 570 base (no LCD) from them for something like $20 a piece, they had hundreds and would wholesale them.

Welp, my project is a no-go. If you want to buy my spare board, I'm asking $100 for it, shipping included. PM me if interested.

I'm still in the market for a Transnote motherboard, if anyone has one. Thanks!
