[ EDIT: ONLY ONE REMAINING AND I LOWERED THE PRICE TO $799 TO SELL IT QUICKLY! ]
I have two R52's for sale. I am now selling for ***price lowered to $799*** each. This is nearly half the best price I was able to find anywhere from an authorized dealer with a three year warranty (and 60% off the web price at Lenovo). I'd think that is a pretty good deal when about all you are giving up from retail is a box and 5 months of warranty (and no sales tax)!
Model R52 1847-2FU
Remainder of 3-Year IBM Warranty thru July 2008
Pentium M 740 1.73GHz
512MB RAM
40GB 4200rpm HDD
14.1" 1024x768 LCD
64MB ATI Radeon X300
24x24x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD
Intel 802.11 A/B/G wireless (MPCI) with Built-In Wireless Antenna
Modem (CDC)
1Gb Ethernet
UltraNav
Secure Chip
IEEE 1394 (Firewire)
6-Cell Battery
A/C Adapter
WinXP Pro COA
- These are Lenovo's top-of-the-line XGA R52 models, not the "fire sale" models. Only some of the SXGA+ models sell for more, and notice these have the same graphics (X300 64MB) as the SXGA+ models so they will be far better for gaming since the engine don't have to support SXGA+.
Condition: These are essentially like new. I turned them on for a quick check and that's all. No defects I could see. One even still has the stickers on the outside it. I don't have the boxes for either unfortunately (and I don't have room for all the boxes I have now!). Oh, one of them does have a tiny little scratch on the top of the case that's about 0.75" long but not too visable (just for full disclosure).
The Lenovo web price is about $1999 (and the discounted price is about 15% less at the educational, credit card, etc. links). Here is a link with more info on the laptops that might help you form your offer: https://www-131.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... Id=1201232
SOME DETAILS:
--> Shipping to most Mainland US destinations is approximately $25.
--> Escrow is required for your protection (for a $50 fee) through Bill Morrow, the owner of thinkpads.com and provider of this forum.
--> PayPal can also be accepted at an additional 3% to cover their fees.
SO... If you are interested in either of these laptops please contact me at "kpikiller at gmail dot com". I will correspond further if I feel there's a chance we can work out the sale.
Good Luck,
Yak
