Need Product Recovery Disks

Long time reader, first time poster.

I aquired a pre owned T43p 2668-G2U. The Recovery Partition comes up with various errors saying files are corrupted. I can still access it and do stuff, and i have run pc-doc and did a full system scan including on the harddisk so im not sure why the files are coming up corrupted. I tried creating recovery disks within windows only to come up with more errors. Would it be possible for someone to create some copies of the Recovery disks and send them to me? I would be more then willing to pay for the cd's and shipping.

If any of this is considered Warez or illegal, please close this thread and sorry for any problems.

If the answer is somewheres else, could you please direct me to it?

Thx

EDIT - I also talked to the previous owner and he said that he never created a set of disks before as i believe you can only create one set, so i know this is not the problem. He also told me to call IBM to swap the harddrive. I probally would, but i don't want to have any "downtime" away from my new lappie!!

If you are happy to pay, just order the recovery CD's from IBM. Your machine is probably under warranty. See if they will replace the drive (corrupted HPA) and/or provide CD's to correct the corruption.

But kudos for the polite way of asking. :)

Try this
http://www-306.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-54483
and if it works, create your own CD/DVD.
