Hard to tell. The 7200RPM and 9-cell defiinitely add value, but the XGA screen isn't as hot a commodity at the SXGA.

One ebay T40s are going for $560 to 700, not counting the upgrades you listed.

what if i upgraded the ram to 1 gig and the hard drive to 80 gig 7200? $800 would be more then fair wouldn't it?

I think that brentpresley is trying to give you prices for machines similar to yours, HOWEVER, brent also stated that these prices didn't include the upgrade options that are on the T40 that you have listed.

To add the extra items to the T40 that you mentioned would only cost you that much more...and that sounds alittle cost prohibitive. (Spend more, to get what you wanted in the first place???)

I know it is asking a lot, but if you are willing to strip it out I'm very interested in the shell.

I have RAM, HDs, wifi cards, and processors out the yinyang right now, so all I'm really interested in is the MB, complete casing + KB, and screen.
