WTB: Thinkpad T23

#1 Post by zs0m30n3z » Thu Feb 02, 2006 12:38 am

Update:

WOW, I've been looking around the forum and I realized that people has been praising the T23, so here I am wondering if anybody has one of those to sell?

Let me know of any offers, I do not want any eBay links. Thanks.

original post below
-------------------

*sniffs* my TP570e took a dive over the weekend and now I have a cracked screen. Money is hard to come by, so I'm looking for something just slightly better than the 570e, maybe the t2x or the x2x series with the dock? I'd like something at least 500mhz, hard drive size unimportant, I'll just transfer my 20gb over, RAM unimportant, as long as I have one free slot to upgrade with. I liked my ultraportable, so I'd prefer something along those lines, but at the same time, I know ultraportables are expensive, so just something less than 5 or 6 pounds. Thank you for reading this, bumps are appreciated and please PM me any offers.

----------------------------
A quick list of what I'm looking for:
TP T2x or X2x series

-or-

P3/K6-2/Athlon 500+ mhz (prefered something ~700mhz or higher)
HD SIZE UNIMPORTANT (I plan to swap my 20gb from the 570e)
256mb+ RAM or 128mb w/ a free slot.
BATTERY UNIMPORTANT
ANY size screen capable of displaying AT LEAST 1024x768 @ 16bit color.

only thing ive got left is a built up 700mhz hp omnibook, its about the size and wieght of the t21, it has dvd rom, 2 128meg pieces of ram installed. 30 gig hd. perfect 1024x768 res screen. perfect keyboard and touchpad. it also has a win2k license and a clean load of a tone of really usefull software, office app. image editing. and has dvd movie playing software.

also im a laptop refurbisher so i would be willing to take yur laptop as a trade in if you wanted, as long as there is somthing usuable in it.

How does 3.09lbs sound?

If you don't need the hard drive and memory I can negotiate the price on this Compaq Armada:

zs0m30n3z, I am considering selling a 500MHz Celeron X20 without docking station, hard drive or ethernet port for around $150 plus actual postage (several bucks). Type 2662-11U. The big advantage of this type is that it's only 3.15 lbs (I just weighed it!), compared to the 600MHz PIII with ethernet model which is 3.47 lbs. Would you be interested?

The Mobile Celerons ranging from 500mhz up to I'm really not sure what speed were essentially the same chip as the Mobile PIII but with only 128kb of cache enabled.

No problem. I usually avoid Celeron too, but I am actually quite happy with this X20. I am leaning toward keeping it for a while.

Is there a way to make it $100?

not really a big fan of ebay unless it's really rare, I don't really like sitting in front of the monitor continually clicking refresh at the last couple hours.

Sorry zs0m30n3z, I,m new here. In my other forums that would not be considered a jacking. The offer sat for a day and I thought you were not interested. That is why I did it in the open, I didn't think I was doing anything wrong. No disrespect intended...
