[SOLD] FS: --->> Nice X23 with extras [SOLD]

#1 Post by brainpicker » Thu Feb 02, 2006 9:53 pm

[Sold this morning. Thanks for looking. I still have the X41 and R52 available. Look for my posts if interested. Thanks, Yak]

I am selling an X23. I purchased it a couple of months ago from an adult who is very respectful of his equipment (thanks Frank!), and although my niece likes it a lot she found the 12" screen too small so I gave her an 14" R52 instead. It is far too good a setup to not to have an owner, and it's in very nice condition for a used laptop. I'm sure the lucky buyer will agree. Here are some basics:

866MHz Processor
640MG RAM (the maximum)
30GB HDD
Windows XP Pro Installed (though it has no COA for XP)

This was not a factory wireless model, but I installed an Intel mPCI Wireless Card in it and it works great in my home and my brothers home. Your mileage may vary. I will include the IBM mPCI 10/100 Ethernet Card I had to remove to install the internal wireless.

I bought an Internal Bluetooth Card (FRU P/N:12P3872) to install in place of the internal modem my niece wasn't using (besides, she wanted bluetooth), but I never got around to it. I will include that bluetooth card in case the new owner decides to add bluetooth later.

This X23 will come with TWO X2 Ultrabases. One has a CDRW and Floppy drives and the other has a CD-ROM and Floppy drives. I bought her an extra one so she could have one at home and one at school. Oh well.

Not that you'll need it with two X2's, but I'll also include a Port Replicator as I have no need for it.

I purchased a spare keyboard which I will also include. The original keyboard is in really nice shape, but I was able to purchase an almost never used X21 keyboard from a friend which I intended to keep for my niece as a back-up down the road.

The battery is only about 2 months old and only has a few cycles of use (maybe 5-6).

A/C Adapter

The install was freshly done when I purchased this laptop in December, and I've kept it up to date including the IBM drivers. I will include copies of the CD's I was given upon purchase from which the install was done. I've installed various privacy/security software, and Record Now! & Nero to use with the CDRW drive.

Price is $499 delivered to the mainland US. I will sell to others as additional shipping cost. No warranty remains, but I will guarantee everything to be as represented and I will offer escrow through Bill Morrow if requested (fee paid by buyer).

I think that's it but if I left out anything important please ask and I'll add it.

PayPal eChecks accepted at no additional cost. PayPal credit cards accepted if buyer pays the 3% fee.

Please e-mail your questions or buying intentions. I've bought, sold, and traded with dozens of forum members (and hundreds elsewhere like that [censored] auction site) and always deliver what I represent. This is a real nice outfit with a lot of stuff included and I hope someone here can make use of it.

Thanks,
Yak
