That's just one out of many positive feedbacks ajkula66 has got, but I am the lucky man running his renowned R61fL. Fast, friendly & helpful. Too bad it's just to far away to drop by for a beer or two.

Also, I've traded lately with WVZR-1. Started with 1 unit worth $35, bought 3 units for $270. And they were better than expected. Not to mention Dave is fantastic guy that I'd be glad to meet sometime.

And there were three packs traded by me - my own units found their way to fourthree (frankie), kfzhu1229 (A31p for free) and jespen-mayer (box of parts for free). Everything was more than fine, I was even presented some extra money I have not asked for and did not expect to get.

You all guys make me check this forum everyday before I brush my teeth. Thank you all!

Just received a T420s from Edward Mendelson. All was as described (even better) and it arrived in original packaging in perfect condition. Just what I need, one more ThinkPad! Maybe time to sell an X220 to make room. Thanks Edward!

This is a quick message adding another voice to the chorus of thanks to RealBlackStuff for his amazing skill and expertise. I'll post more details later about the unit that RBS worked on, but here's a brief summary.

I bought a rare X240s, with the model number 1234567 listed on the label and in the BIOS. RBS suggested that the unit might be a prototype or one that belonged to someone at FoxConn or Lenovo, since that model number was obviously a spacefiller.

The unit was in beautiful shape, except that the rear (non-removable) battery was dead; I managed to replace that on my own. But I also wanted a backlit keyboard and wanted to replace the buttonless trackpad on the X240 series with a current three-button trackpad. I knew that was far beyond my abilities. RBS agreed to take on the job, and I'm glad he was the one who did it, because it ended up requiring Dremel work on the metal bezel used on the x240s (unlike the plastic one on the X240) - a detail that seems never to have been documented online. (There was a lot online about replacing the trackpad on the plain X240, but not about the X240s.) This also required research into drivers, and the use of the Group Policy Editor to prevent Windows 10 from installing the wrong drivers instead.

As you'd expect, RBS managed all of this with complete success and real elegance. I'm deeply impressed and grateful.

So here's a pint of the real black stuff to RealBlackStuff! (In case anyone needs this definition: "real black stuff" = Guinness Stout.)

I had an excellent experience with Edward Mendelson. He sold me a beautiful X61s and it works flawlessly and is in amazing shape. I really wanted this machine but had not been paid yet and Edward was gracious enough to hold onto it for me till I had the funds. Thanks again Edward.

I have bought a few items from follow members on this forum for the past few months and I will positive feedback shortly for all of them.

I wanted to express my happiness with dealing with PiZzA EnGiNeEr. I am so very happy with the purchase of the 380Z machine. It's in great shape. He took great care in the overall packing of the machine & extra care with additional packing material around the 380Z.

I powered it on last night and saw the Win2000 Pro screen come up and I was smiling! :-D

PiZzA EnGiNeEr was very quick in his messages to me and sent the package the day I paid him, which was great.

I would do business with him anytime (& I am buying 1 more item from him) and recommand you do for a great experince.

Thank you,
John

I am very happy with my purchase of a Frankenpad T601 from Alisan. The device was exactly as described - that is, in a very good condition.
Seller was also very fast in responding to my questions. Recommended!

A very positive shout-out to Friedrich-Eugen for his dedication in International shipping to get a BOE-HYDIS LED panel to me.

Great communications before, during and after the transaction, and excellent, secure packaging of the screen and lid. :D :D :D

Highly recommended seller and would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone on the Forum. :thumbs-UP: :thumbs-UP: :thumbs-UP:

far too much ...

Credit has to go to TuuS and RealBlackStuff for helping me and selling the necessary Parts/modds to me, some Years ago.

I'm happy that my Frankenpads and now the unused, spare LED-Display have found new "homes", will serve further.
They have worked perfectly with Windows 10pro and MS Office 2013pro, Adobepro, Multimedia-software...

Classical Thinkpads, although Frankenpads, physically nearly as versatile as the Thinkpad A31P in its most speedy version (2,6Ghz)...
Its the combined force of software and hardware-devellopment that makes me change my workhorses.

This is for dorronto and the pleasant transaction that I had with him. :D

I have had purchased from him before & this is no different. The machine is in perfect condition & received additional items that I wasn't expecting to get. Also, he shipped the machine quickly, with the original box & packed well. :thumbs-UP:

I would say if/when you purchase from dorronto it will be a good experience.

Most excellent purchase from EngineersCake for a good condition T61p in a box packed further inside another box,all with bubble wraps+padding, also between the two boxes. Arrived fast in mint condition at Bangkok Thailand without a dent to outer box,
forget about the inside box in pristine condition.

Truly overwhelmed at the pains he took to ship this out to me, tip of the hat to you Sir !

Cheers

I purchased a screen assembly for my 760E from RealBlackStuff as he offered it when I posted about having some issues with that machine. He packaged the item extremely well (they could have dropped it to me from a passing airplane) and shipped quickly, and was very fair on the cost. Very pleased with the outcome.
