Forum user "Brad" was very fast and professional. He replaced a motherboard in my T43. Everything works great! Kudos to him and this forum!

Thanks! Top marks for zdriver as well, especially for being patient as I had difficulty recalling an old BIOS password!zdriver wrote:Excellent experience with purchase of T42 spare motherboard from Tim M
Very quick shipping, great communication, and packaged to survive a direct nuclear strike.
Very helpful, highly recommended.
Additional positive feedback for Brad...hassle-free purchase and prompt shipping.

Hi All,
Just got my T60 from bri.
A lovely, lovely machine. Well cared for and exactly as advertised.
bri has been a delight to buy from.
I'm hoping to buy the advanced port replicator for this T60 as soon as I've managed to save up the money. I would have bought it next week BUT the [insert your favourite rude adjective] UK Customs have whacked me with a bill for £61 ($120, approx).
I'm thrilled with this machine as it has a screen that's very hard to get hold of in the UK - 14.1 inch, 1400 x 1050. bri changed the RAM for me, put in a new hdd and re-imaged it, too.
All in all, apart from Customs, I couldn't be happier with this Thinkpad and with dealing with bri. He's an absolute gent who I will do busines with again and I recommend him to you all.
Next thing on my list is to update my signature.
Very Happy

Thumbs up to TPCollector and NEIL
And a tip of the hat to two fine gentlemen,
Neil and the TPCollector.
The items I got from each in this forum
arrived, one today and the other before
the holiday weekend.
From the former I bought a 512MB RAM
chip for my T23; installed now and seen
by both the BIOS and XP, working without
a fault.
From TPC I obtained some recovery CDs,
shipped promptly from the land down under.
They look fine to me, but I'm not going to
reformat and recover just to test them out.
A pair of stalwart and trustworthy TPers!

raket is one cool dude, a pleasure to deal with...big thumbs up for this fine gentleman...
As for me picking up the phone at 4.30 a.m. that's what happens when you give someone your "work" cell number instead of the personal one because you're overtired and altogether wasted...I was hoping for a double time and a half, but that hasn't transpired...oh well, I'm not complaining...
On another note, good deals with Harryc and RealBlackStuff definitely deserve a mention in this thread. Thanks, guys!

I must commend Harryc on my most recent transaction with him, which was for a stick of memory. Harry is always a great communicator, always ships quickly, and did an extremely superb packing job!!! I think the package could've been subjected a few G's worth of force and still show up intact!
Did I mention that the packing was better than top-shelf???
Thanks Harry! Always a pleasure doing business with you!

Hello,
I'm happy to say that my first major non-etailor purchase was a great success, owed largely to lazyazn.
I saw his sale of the T60 Thinkpad with Flexview and couldn't pass it up. I was wary of being scammed for such a large sum of money though, but he was patient and helpful in answering all of my questions, and even kept me up to date on the shipping process.
I'm now the proud owner of a great T60 to replace my old T42 Flexview.
Thanks!
