I agree, he's a great seller and an asset to our community, but you really should post this in the feedback thread where it's more likely to be seen in the future.

Tuus is a valuable asset to this forum- no doubt about it! He has been extremely helpful in a couple of instances when I posted a WTB thread in the marketplace here on TPF. Thanks to another seamless transaction I now have the rubber rails I needed for a T400 I am working on. Thanks again
Tuus! It's been a pleasure

That is a Beautiful T61 6363-Y64 Don - and in like new condition.

Glad you went this route rather than the high price item you were looking at before. I'm guessing not only did you get a much better machine but you dealt with a true assest of this forum too.

@emeraldgirl, Thank you

it's always a pleasure to deal with you. We've traded so many parts back and forth, many smuggled in 1st class envelopes to save on shipping.. such as ram chips, screws, random pieces etc... glad to help you keep your systems running without breaking your budget. I know what it's like as a full time student, I lived on Ramen noodles for weeks at a time, breakfast lunch and dinner all under $1 lol keep it up, you're going to go far and these will be some of your fondest memories, I was glad to help in any way I can.
@ CadillacMike, I'm honored to help one of our Soldiers (and I use the term correctly since mike is ARMY) serving our country. All our transactions have been great and you got one special machine there, hopefully the desert sand won't bring any harm to her, but worse case I got any parts you may need to fix her up if need be and you have over a years warranty left on her if anything fails.
@ Cigarguy, Thanks for the kind words. Mike got one from my personal collection, an Intel based system with Penryn cpu that was special ordered in the end of sept 2008, about a month after the line was discontinued and still has over 1yr of onsite warranty left. It was the closest thing lenovo ever built to the T61/T61p frankNpads I was building that were so popular. With the Penryn cpu and intel graphics, it's the perfect machine to deal with the desert heat. I also recently had Lenovo replace the fan and hinges and give it a complete refurb under warranty, so it's good to go. We all can wish her (and Mike) a safe return from the battlefield as we do for all our servicemen and women.
ps. I've had many many recent transactions that I really need to put together a list to thank all the members, everyone here has been great and I'm pleased to help anyone I can, be it a couple rubber rails smuggled in a 1st class letter, or a beautiful and rare T61 off to join the army.

So That's why the hinges are so tight! And the Fan too! Excellent

Sep 2008, that's about the same time I ordered my Wife's 8897 with SXGA+ (Actuator arm on her T30's HDD broke). I've since become more familiar with T61s. Well again, Thanks.

A big thumbs up for
RealBlackStuff, who supplied a new SXGA+ LCD and did a great SATA mod to a T43 board and then generously helped me troubleshoot unrelated problems when reassembling the machine.

It seems we've all drank the TuuS kool-aid here.
I'd like to chip in that he's one of the most accessible and approachable sellers present at TPs.com, and echo that he's not satisfied until you are. I'd certainly do business with him again.

Thank you to all who have left me such wonderful feedback, it's an honor to serve the community here.
@
tennernie, glad to help you with your motherboard and I wish you many of years of use from it. Our transaction was flawless and I recommend you to anyone.
@
ajkulla66, we've had so many trades/deals it's hard to keep track of them all, but they have all served not only each other, but others here as well who end up with the creations of such evil masterminds
@
Fixed_Rider, a flawless transaction and I'm glad I was able to exceed your expectations.
@
Radioguy, Thank you very much... took a couple tries to get your order right, but I wasn't about to rest until it was, thank you very much for your patience
@
mpcook, Indeed, we have had several transactions, buying, selling, trading, and I'd recommend you to anyone.
Thanks to all and keep the orders coming in, there is plenty of koolaid to go around
TuuS
ps. Also thank you to the countless others whom I've had good transactions with, you all make this more then a website, it's truly a community, even a family,
and thanks most of all to
Bill, for hosting this great forum

A warm thanks goes to
TuuS not only for the battery's perfect quality/price ratio but for dealing with a peculiar case like mine: accepting to mail the battery to a hotel address for someone flying in and out of the US for 5 days or so. This transaction could not become smoother than that. Highly recommended to anyone, I wish he was based in Europe instead

ilakast, I must admit I've never done such an odd transaction, but due to battery mailing regulations it was easy to understand why you were asking so I was glad to do anything I could to help. I'm thrilled your battery survived the trip and you're happy with it. If you ever need anything else, just ask. It's not likely I'll be moving to europe, but if we can gather all your future needs into one package, the shipping shouldn't be that bad.
Thanks for an interesting exchange

This post is for RealBlackStuff and the Boardroom!
The SATA Mod is AWESOME! I cannot recommend the RBS and the Mod enough.
Service was fantastic. The turnaround time was very impressive!
My daughters T43p arrived today, I read the information note left inside and dropped in a new OCZ Agility 3 60gb SSD, plugged in my Win8 USB stick and straight away I was in heaven. Unit boots in 25 seconds to the full desktop with anything else from me (I may check firmware updates for the SSD later!).
RBS YOU ROCK! Thank you for keeping me informed and guiding me throughout the process.
Edited for clarity!
All of you whom are contemplating this mod..... HAVE IT DONE by The Board Room it is worth it in every way!

My apologies RBS!
