Much thanks to tgrevers. I purchased a dock from him and he shipped immediately, arrived as described, and it saved me from much hassle to get my setup running the way I need it. I would not hesitate to buy from him again.

I just want to give positive feedback to 996gt2. I just bought a system from him and he is a pleasure to deal with. He responded to my emails at like 1 AM in the morning. He took pics of the machine, surrounded by foam in the box. He even took a picture of the USPS shipping label on the box. I bought the system early Sunday morning (around 1) and got the system on the following Wednesday. He even checked in with me after I got the machine to make sure that I was happy. Let me tell you, I am very happy!

He is a great person to deal with and I would recommend him to anyone buying a system from him.
Take care,
John

JohnD purchased my X200 Tablet a few days ago. He is an excellent buyer and was very easy to deal with. He was prompt in responding to PMs and sending payment, and I would not hesitate to deal with him again in the future.
Thanks!

I just installed one of the
NOS T61 4:3 boards with NVidia graphics from
TuuS in my boss' Frankenpad. It was quite the feeling to break the factory seal on the box containing such a rare bird! I am calling these the "Unicorn" boards.
This was not my first transaction with
TuuS, and he has been a pleasure to deal with as always! I have found him to be ridiculously helpful and knowledgeable, and as trustworthy and honest as the day is long. Additionally, his packaging is excellent, and I suspect the board could have survived nuclear war during shipping.
I also got a few of my beloved T60-era Chicony keyboards. I really appreciate the time he spent digging through his stock for these.
THANKS!

All this talk about Pie is making me hungry lol which reminds me, my math teacher once told me "Pie are squared", but the only ones I've ever had were round... not sure where he got his pies from??? *confused*
@Jeff, thank you sir, it was a pleasure once again to help you with your frankenpadding adventures. I'm sure the boss will love hi new upgraded frankenpad and rumor had it that RBS is adding his magic touch to it as well with a new LED panel, so you'll have the ultimate frankenpad there with a nice penryn cpu, discrete graphics and LED display. I also love the "unicorn board" name you coined, a t61 discrete board with a new gpu was always more of an urban myth than reality. I spent years searching for an August 2008 board to conclude they don't exist and we knew that there were some brand new boards used in warranty claims, but the only way to get one was to get very lucky and find one installed in a laptop... until these surfaced, still sealed in original ibm boxes.
@tobbacco dude, thanks m8, it was a pleasure to help you with your discrete frankenpad build too, and I look forward to helping on your next one.
Regarding Cigars, I once travelled to freeport bahamas and grabbed a cuban cigar for my stepfather who was in his 90s and hadn't had one since they were legal back in the 1950s. He seemed thrilled when I gave it to him, but then a week or so later I asked him how the cigar was and he asked me "what cigar" lol I risked a $1500 fine smuggling in a $30 cigar and he didn't even remember it lol Total FAIL!!! lol

Ha! Pi*R(adius) squared is the formula for calculating the area of a circle

LOL, that's a great story! I assume he has passed on by now, so hopefully since he doesn't have to worry about his earthly conveyance any longer, he can remember that nice cigar.

Pi*R(adius) squared is the formula for calculating the area of a circle
I thought it had to do with calculating how much room I had in my stomach when slicing the pie... which is an art, you don't want slices to big so you waste it and nothing is worse than a slice of apple pie that only teases your tastebuds lol
well, a thin slice of cheesecake can be a horrible tease too, but at least I'm pretty sure cheesecake aren't square

There's always that delicate moment when you know if you eat any more, you're going to feel unpleasant, and you have to weigh that against the deliciousness of the food in front of you!

That's exactly why complex pi (slicing) formula's are so important in mathematics

There also seems to be a direct correlation between the thickness of the slices and the circumference of a circle... as can be clearly measured by my expanding waistline
ps. it's also true in nature that everything has to be equal, more energy here means less there, everything that goes up, comes back down, every action has an equal and opposite reaction, so I guess my ever expanding waistline is offset by my receding hairline?

ok, before people start thinking I'm fat and bald, I'm actually the only one of my siblings that still has most of their hair and my waist is actually smaller then it's been in a decade, but my sense of humor is growing in leaps and bounds

Glad I was able to provide you one of these excellent batteries and as much as I'd love to take the credit for the fast shipping, it seems to boil down to luck and in many cases the mood of the customs inspector that you happen to get. Worldwide average for a priority mail parcel is about 10 days, sometimes less but I understand this is very fast for parcels to indonesia so I'll credit usps, indonesia post and customs for that.

Also glad to help you with both of your T61 systems and I'm extremely sorry about the time it sat in customs in India especially since you opted for Express mail. Countries that agree to reciprocal express mail (EMS) service should honor those agreements and deliver the parcel within 24-48hr after it's received in customs, however the important thing is it arrived safely.
Two very good transactions!!!

Another great transaction with TuuS. My 14" SXGA+ screen up and died and I needed a replacement pronto. TuuS to the rescue with a primo Grade A hand-picked example. Fabulously packed and solid tips for a smooth swap. Up and running in no time with a superior panel.

I would HIGHLY recommend buying products from mpcook. I ordered a docking station from him, for my t420. He sent it quickly... the only problem was that he sent me one intended for a T60/61 series machine! After contacting him about the issue, he immediately sent off the correct dock - and let me keep the other one free! Good issue resolution, the right one was shipped quick and works perfect!
Thumbs up!

Thanks Danny for bearing with me on this. I grabbed a dock and shipped it, silly to not notice it was the wrong one!

Two recent dealings that deserve praise:
- New Old Stock 15" SXGA+ FlexView panel from TuuS. Expertly packed and rapidly dispatched. Works like a charm. Substantial behind-the-scenes communications with valuable info/tips/advice.
- Barebones 15" T60 from ajkula66 for an upcoming project. Had a couple minor issues, but ajkula66 bent over backwards to make things right and he was very generous with his time and knowledge.
These two guys are invaluable assets to the thinkpad community!
