taichi wrote:With the suggestions from those on the forum, I sought and found a new genuine NMB keyboard. One of the venerable members of this form, Johan, responded to a WTB that I placed on the marketplace.

In less than a week after purchasing, through international mail, the most immaculately packed box arrived on my doorstep. It was as if it had been sent to me from a fine electronic parts company. It was a pleasure to receive something so protectively and neatly packed. The new, perect keyboard is now on the computer, and the feel of the keyboard is truly a pleasue. I'm grateful to Johan for the quality of the keyboard, and his care in sending it.
Adam (taichi) bought this keyboard from me - in a swift and friendly transaction. Since e.g. an US-money order or an US cheque would be somewhat inefficient in this "transcontinental matter" I therefore asked for PayPal-payment which initially proved a bit difficult, since Adam didn't have a PayPal-account. However, through a using friends accoint the PayPal-payment was arranged, which was surely appreciated. Communication throughout this sale was fast, friendly and precise.

All in all a highly recommended buyer! I just wish that Adam would buy many more or my T6x and T4x parts...

Said motherboard from excal32 was received so much faster than I expected that I was trying for minutes to recall what else I had recently ordered, because "surely it couldn't be the T420 motherboard I just purchased".

Installed and working great in my T420 / family HTPC that can now charge and use batteries!

Hat tip to tpdude4 for his professional behavior and shipping out a pristine T60 during his busy work week (also at a time when NY/NJ was recovering).

Also a shout out to people I've bought from before, but didn't get around to posting.

Thanks very much UMPC2024 for the kind feedback. Likewise, it was a real pleasure transacting with you -- and thanks again for not minding the slight delay in shipping due to a hectic week. Enjoy your lovely new T60! (I'll miss that one but thankfully I have a 14" T601 frankie to take its place :))

While I'm here...It has also been a pleasure transacting with wujstefan twice now -- once for 2 T60's I sold him a couple months ago, and again recently for the (pending) sale of a 5-pc lot of 15" Flexview SXGA+ screens (and another unlisted T60 w/Sharp UXGA :)). Same goes for several other forum members/browsers whose user names I don't know but who had emailed me.

Also, huge thanks to Bill Morrow and the forum mods/admins for this wonderful forum -- it has been immeasurably useful (for so much more than just selling/buying, of course). As a small token of my appreciation I've just made a $20 donation.

Very pleasant transaction with db999md for an excellent X1 Carbon -- easy communication and super-quick ship, with the X1 arriving at my home safe and sound, wrapped like a baby in its cardboard cradle. Thanks very much for a perfect transaction :thumbs-UP:

I always forgot to put this in: I bought a T43 lid assembly with imperfect UXGA IPS LCD from ajkula66 about a month ago for cheap. Everything works just fine on my T43. Thank you very much!!

I have "bought" (originally only shipping costs but I added $20 just to be nicer) an A31p from wujstefan in decent physical condition but horrible functioning condition. I did NOT expect to receive a dead motherboard but since I fully destroyed it by plugging the power supply into the broken USB port and blew up the motherboard, I let it slide completely. Actually I am proud that I plugged it into a defective motherboard because the motherboard is done but the power supply works just fine afterwards. After the replacement motherboard come in, everything else is just as described or better: yellowed and reddish IDTech UXGA IPS LCD but not THAT bad and I have already transplanted it into my A30; German keyboard that I thought had some bad keys but fixed by the motherboard replacement; a nice, brand new Trackpoint :) ; no RAM, HDD, drives, battery which I got all of them; BT and Wifi present (Wifi is now 2200BG). Anyways, some unexpected things happened but overall I am still satisfied to rescue this machine which was just about to kiss the trash, thank you wujstefan.

You're very welcome, happy that you made use of that LCD assembly.

While I'm in this thread...sold a tablet to jwood and bought a different one from t140568, both experiences were nothing short of excellent.

Thank you one and all.

I might set a forum record "latest to leave feedback". This is to reciprocate a positive point for me four pages back. Positive point for you, theterminator93. Warning to all: I am really disorganised in all of my communications (paper, e-mail, forum P.M.s, phone tag, and anything else which can be named).

Positive points for little deals with Kasm279, Khipata, and Bibin. And last, I bought a kit of parts from RealBlackStuff at last possible moment. Thank you for "holding the window open", you helped me.

Cheers to all.

Hi Everybody,

This is for Vmontyy and my resent dealing with him. It was a good experience overall. The machine came quickly and he provided several pictures of the machine, showing it's condition to me. He was quick in getting back to me. I thought I had sent him payment via Paypal, but I didn't finish the process. Paypal had before a single click to send money and now it's a two click process.

Anyway, I would recommend Vmontyy in any dealings you might have.

Thank you,
John

Recently purchased a pair of 44C3924 NOS Nvidia T61 boards from Tuus for further Frankenpadding, and of course they arrived promptly ( 6 days from shipping, Canadian Customs Clearance and to my door) and in perfect condition. He has expertly crafted International Shipping into a finely-tuned art form!

Highly recommended!
