Thanks to tarvoke for his kind words. I am truly touched, and humbled by them.

Especially coming from a knowledgeable, no-nonsense buyer, who had two questions regarding the laptop:

a) Can I see the pictures of the damaged area?
b) Now that I've seen the pictures, how do you want me to pay for this?

All of the above in the middle of huge interest that this machine has brought upon itself, along with a bunch of tire-kickers...

Extremely easy to deal with, and armed with exemplary patience, I hope that this fine forum member gets to enjoy this still very presentable and usable X31, along with zillion operating systems he has installed on it... :D

Thanks from the bottom of my heart for your praise, your trust and your business!

I am happy to report that this T42p has been sold! :D

Congratulations to K. Eric H., a knowledgeable and courteous local buyer who came by my office, inspected the machine thoroughly using PC Doctor, and completed the transaction smoothly early yesterday morning. He mentioned visiting this forum (but am not sure if he posts here), so if you are reading this Eric best wishes in your career and much thanks for giving my T42p a good home!

I would also like to thank George (ajkula66) and Johan for their unwavering enthusiasm, and the forum admins for their kind guidance. Each of you is invaluable to this forum and the ThinkPad community!

Thanks to Stan (schen) for being brave enough to try to save a very pretty, but malfunctioning A31p from perils of me slicing it and dicing it...

Excellent communication, fast non-PayPal payment ( :thumbs-UP: ), I couldn't possibly ask for anything more and remain polite...

Best of luck with that machine, my friend, I can't wait to hear that it's up and running again!
